My QSL Policy

1. Before doing anything, check if you are on my logbook by sending an email to: st2eb(at)st2eb.qinwan.net.sd.
2. I am accepting only a paper QSL Card.
3. I am not dealing with eQSL.
4. Please wrap your QSL card and other things by newspaper and insert all of them in a non-transparent envelope.
5. If You afraid that I am going to “STEAL” your money or IRCs without a reply, I prefer not to exchange any cards with me, and I advise you to save your money and effort also!
6. Many factors effecting exchanging of the QSL cards, like mailing authorities and their problems during collection and distributing, or may be the stamps are not enough for your mail for sending, etc. My responsibility is to reply the QSL Cards that I have received and their QSOs are on my logbook at the same time, and I am not responsible for any deficiencies made by other sides.
7. You can check on the internet to assure my QSL Cards have been received in many countries around the world, like Korea, Nicaragua, USA, Iceland, Monaco, etc.

USA does not want mail from Sudan!!

This post was published on 16 Mar 2011

Today I went to in the Sudan Mail offices (Sudapost) to send my QSL Cards around the world, I am very surprised, they search my email and isolate those which will go to the USA and return them back to me again, I asked them why you do that, I used to send many time to USA, and also I have received many mails from USA today, they replied me that the USA Mail told them that they will not take any more mail from SUDAN!.
So I think it will be difficult to me to send more mail to USA unless I find someone traveling outside the country from time to time to send those QSL Cards to the USA, or if you are one of the United States amateurs, it is preferable to send me another address outside the USA to send my cards to you. Or you can suggest any solution (not by assigning QSL manager: because I have more than 1000 printed cards till now in my hand).

Referring to that I asked the sales person of the Sudapost, he said that the US Mail  received their mail and returned back to SUDAN, and when they asked them for the reason of returning back their mail, they did not answer them. This happened several times, so they understand that the US Mail does not want any mail form the Sudan, and the Sudapost will refuse to send any more mail to USA.

My QSL Card Story

This post was published on 02 Jun 2009

I can say that I have received more than 300 QSL cards since Jan 2008 via my ordinary PO Box here in Khartoum and I have started replying the cards after I was printed my own in Oct 2008. I know that many amateurs thought that they have been cheated because of my late reply, but anything here in Sudan takes a lot of time to be ready!.

I was take a lot of time to make a design for my QSL card, many foreign amateurs and groups came to Sudan, but their cards was reflecting only bad images of the country, I try to give other amateurs who do not know anything about Sudan another side of the story, e.g. you can find Sudanese National Radio Amateur, practicing this hobby from Sudan!. Or in general you can LIVE in Khartoum! Sudan is not only a field of WAR and FAMINE!!! There is another activities practiced everyday in the country, starting from hobbies to business! So I was searched on the internet and other sources to find only one picture to say all what I need to say, it is not a secret to say that the picture itself took more than 3 months to be found!

After I found that picture, I turned to the back of the card and took 2 weeks to finish, and then I try to find a printing press that can give me a good quality of printing. So the design has been sent to Syria to print there. In a period of 3 weeks I received my cards in my hand and starting to send replies to amateurs around the world!

For the first time I found myself in front of more than 200 QSL cards without replying, so I search in QRZ.COM to find who can receive QSL Card via his bureau and email others asking them if they accept that , many of them was cooperative people. I do that because I do not want to make any more delays for amateurs. So I sent my QSL cards to many amateurs via their bureaus in the first month to finalize that congestion. Now I am in normal situation so I can send QSL cards easily without any delaying.

As I told you before in a post, my cards has been sent from Sudan to Nicaragua (to YN2N) and back again to me, not only to Nicaragua but also to Thailand, California, Puerto Rico, etc..!
